Justin Parks Roper was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 28, 1987. Justin Roper was an all around athlete at Buford High School. Roper was a guard on the basketball team, finished third in the state at high jump with 6’6”, got 1:04 in the 100 meter breaststroke on the schools swim team and was quarterback on the football team. Justin Roper was ranked as one of the top 28 quarterbacks in the nation after he led his team to a 12-1 season and a 8-AA championship. As a senior, Roper completed 58 percent of his passes for 1,423 yards and 18 touchdowns.
In 2006, Justin Roper joined the University of Oregon Ducks football team. Justin Roper’s first year was spent sharing quarterback duties on the scout team. The 6’6” 204lbs quarterback was the Oregon Ducks top signal caller in 2007. Justin Roper helped the University of Oregon to a victory at the Sun Bowl against Florida State. Justin Roper started the first three games of the 2008 Ducks season. But, while playing against Purdue Boilermakers, #11 was sidelined for a knee ailment. Roper missed the next four games. When Justin Roper returned on October 25 against Arizona State he completed all four of his pass attempts for 86 yards.
