Andrew (D.J.) Jahmael Davis was born in Denver, Colorado on January 4, 1989. D.J. Davis was a SuperPrep All-American ranked among the top 20 prep receivers in the country at Montbello High School. D.J. Davis was also among the top 15 plyers in the Midlands section and got four-star recognition by Rivals.com and Scout.com. As a senior, D.J. Davis accumulated 30 receptions for 567 yards and nine touchdowns. Davis received the 16th annual Watkins Memorial Award as the nation’s top African American male high school scholar athlete.
In 2007, D.J. Davis graduated early in order to take part in spring drills for the University of Oregon. As a true freshman for the Oregon Ducks, Davis caught three passes for 35 yards and one touchdown in 12 games.
The 6’ 1” 205 lbs wide receiver tore his knee ligament during the 2008 season. #10 had a total five receptions for 85 yards that year. D.J. Davis also made a carrier-long 45-yard reception against the Cardinals before getting injured.
