Chip Kelly is the head coach for the University of Oregon Ducks football team.

Chip Kelly is known for his innovative offense schemes and is looking forward to leading the Ducks football team in the new season. Chip Kelly officially became the Ducks football head coach in March of 2009 after University of Oregon Athletic Director Pat Kilkenny stepped down and then head football coach Mike Bellotti filled the position.

Prior to his Oregon Ducks head coach position, Chip Kelly was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the University of Oregon football team for two years.

Prior to joining the University of Oregon Athletic department, Chip Kelly spent thirteen seasons in his home state coaching offense for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. While Chip Kelly was the offensive coordinator in New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Wildcats averaged more than 30 points per game.

Chip Kelly is known for putting together tough spread option offensive attacks. He brought the game plan to Oregon and Oregon Ducks fans noticed an immediate improvement in the Ducks football team success. In 2007, the Oregon Ducks football team led the Pac-10 conference in scoring with 38.15 points per game.
